Notice is hereby given that the following foreign will or affidavit of heirs has been filed in the Fayette County Clerk's Office at PO Box 569, 100 N Court Street, Suite One Fayetteville, WV 25840-1200, and no appointment or administration is being made pursuant to the provisions of West Virginia Code 41-5-13.

An interested person(s) objecting to the filing of the foreign will or affidavit or objecting to the absence of appointment or administration being made in this state must file a statement with the Fayette County Commission through the County Clerk's Office at the address listed above within 60 days after the date of first publication or 30 days of service of the notice, whichever is later. If an objection is not timely filed, the objection is forever barred. NOTICE OF FILING AND HEARINGS

Notice is hereby given that Appalachian Power Company and Wheeling Power Company (the Companies), public utilities, have, on April 30, 2024, filed with the Public Service Commission of West Virginia a Petition to update their Vegetation Management Program (VMP) rates as required by previous Commission Orders. If approved, the increased rates will apply to electric service to approximately 462,328 customers in the counties of Boone, Brooke, Cabell, Clay, Fayette, Greenbrier, Jackson, Kanawha, Lincoln, Logan, Marshall, Mason, McDowell, Mercer, Mingo, Monroe, Nicholas, Ohio, Putnam, Raleigh, Roane, Summers, Wayne, Wetzel, and Wyoming.

The Companies propose to increase VMP rates by approximately $1.2 million, an increase of 0.07% annually, effective for a period of two years. If approved, the average monthly bill for the various classes of customers will be changed as follows:


1 Excludes Special Contract customers who are billed standard tariff rates.

The increases shown are based on 1,000 Kwh monthly usage for residential customers and the monthly average usage of all customers in the other classes. Individual customers may receive an increase that is greater or less than average. Furthermore, the requested rates are only a proposal and are subject to change.

If the rate including the fixed monthly charge plus a kWh rate is approved, the residential monthly bill at various usage levels would be changed as follows:


The Public Service Commission will conduct a public comment hearing in this matter on September 30, 2024, beginning at 5:00 p.m. The public comment hearing will be held virtually, allowing for interested persons to make a comment telephonically, through the Microsoft Teams application from the internet, or in-person at the Commission headquarters. Interested persons intending to make a virtual public comment should register with the Commission by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2024. Registration may be made by any of the following methods:

(1) Through the Microsoft Teams meeting link located on the Commission's website, http://www.psc.state.wv.us under the "PSC Hot Topics" section located at the top of the homepage;
(2) By calling 304-340-0836 (Karen Hall) or 304-340-0820 (Andrew Gallagher); or
(3) By emailing khall@psc.state.wv.us or agallagher@psc.state.wv.us.

The link for the Microsoft Teams meeting will also be in a future press release from the Commission. As an alternative to speaking at the public comment hearing virtually or in person, individuals or entities interested in providing written comments regarding this case should submit their comments by mail or hand delivery to Executive Secretary, P.
