NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

On JUNE 10, 2026 at 9:00 a.m., the Applicants, reference above, will appear before the Fayette County Commission, seeking the abandonment of unused portions of adjacent right-of-ways, located off Collins Hill Road, Glen Jean, Plateau District, Fayette County, West Virginia, as follows:

(1) The first portion of an unused street sought to be abandoned is situate between two tracts owned by the Applicants, Lorenza Loving and Bridget Loving, i.e., Map 38N-54 and Map 38N-36.

(2) The second portion of an unused street sought to be abandoned is situate between the real estate properties owned by the Applicants, Lorenza Loving and Bridget Loving, i.e., Map 38N-36 and Map 38N-47.

Any person(s)claiming the use of and/or rights to the unused portions of said streets may appear at the aforesaid date and time in the Office of the Fayette County Commission, Fayette County Courthouse, 100 Court Street, Fayetteville, West Virginia, and be heard at the time and place hereinabove set forth.

Notice is hereby given that the Town of Pax, a municipal corporation, will hold a hearing before the final vote on a proposed ordinance the principal object of which is the increase of water rates for customers of the water system operated by the Town of Pax. The title of such ordinance is "Ordinance Amending and Re-Enacting the Rates and Charges for Water Service For Customers of the Municipal Water Utility of the Town of Pax, Fayette County, West Virginia."

The Town is proposing the following rates, fees, and/or charges:

40% Increase Residential
$25.56 per 1,000 gallons

$51.12 per month
2,000 gallon minimum

The final vote on adoption of said proposed ordinance shall be held in the Council Chambers of the Town of Pax Town Hall, 37 School Street Pax, WV 25904 October 14th, 2025 at 6:30 o'clock PM. Interested parties may appear and be heard at such tie with respect to the passage of the proposed ordinance. Copies of the proposed ordinance are available at the Office of the Clerk, Town of Pax Town Hall.
